I appreciated the lovely new hotel and its Lanna-themed cozy lobby, but I was disappointed with the service, particularly given my status as a Platinum IHG member. The swimming pool was a nice escape from the heat, but overall, the experience lacked the warm recognition I expected from a luxury hotel.

Rooms

The Classic King Room was decent, but it did feel a bit cramped with too much furniture. I had a comfortable stay, but I think simplifying the layout would enhance the experience.
Service
6.0
While some staff were friendly and accommodating, I found the service inconsistently warm. On my birthday, I received a slice of cake upon arrival, but the lack of recognition on the actual day left me feeling let down.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated, just a 10-minute walk from the city walls and around the corner from the bustling night market, making it easy to explore top attractions.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were okay, with a decent variety for breakfast, but I felt there could be more options for Western tastes. Certain dishes were rotated on different days, making some mornings a bit limiting.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel features a pool open until 9:30 PM, which was great for an evening swim. Facilities like room service and housekeeping were satisfactory, but I encountered some issues with slow charging outlets in the room.

My stay at InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping was truly nice, highlighted by the amazing views from my room and the attentive staff. While I appreciated the extensive breakfast options, I noticed some lapses in restaurant service, especially at the egg station. Overall, the luxurious ambiance and great location made for an enjoyable experience. 🌟🥞

Breakfast was a standout, offering a wide selection of delicious options, though the service around the egg station could use improvement due to some order mishaps.

The hotel offers well-kept facilities, including a beautiful garden and an indoor playground for children. However, there were minor issues related to ongoing renovations that could impact certain areas.

I had an overall pleasant stay at the Intercontinental Chiang Mai. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the night market, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. However, I experienced some initial hiccups with my room, including a less-than-ideal bathroom tap situation, which I didn't expect from a hotel of this caliber. The quick service response made up for it, but I believe they should pay more attention to such fundamental issues.

Rooms

The room was spacious and comfortable, but it felt a bit dated with some dusty furniture, and I struggled with the air conditioning being too cold at times.

I found the Intercontinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping to be a comfortable hotel, though a bit dated in some areas. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the night markets and old city. I enjoyed the spacious and clean room, but it could certainly benefit from some renovations. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the two pools were lovely, although I sometimes struggled to find space at the pool area.

The breakfast spread was impressive with a good mix of Asian and Western options. However, the rooms did have a bit of a dated feel. The hotel is beautifully designed and offers great facilities, but some aspects could use a refresh.
